Rückblick - Retrospect: Mennonite World Conference, Africa 2003

In Erinnerung an die 14. Mennonitische Weltkonferenz 2003 vom 11.-17. August 2003 in Bulawayo/Zimbabwe habe ich rückblickend einige Bilder von dieser einzigartigen Veranstaltung (link über diesen rückdatierten Blogeintrag) gestellt.
Auf dass sich nicht nur diejenigen, die damals dabei waren an das "Event" erinnern, sondern auch "Simbabwe heute" mit allem was dort vorgeht nicht aus dem Blick verlieren.
Dazu anbei ein allgemeiner link zu aktuellen Online-News - und ein spezieller link zum Artikel "Peace won't come to Zimbabwe": der einen (wie ich finde) recht guten - gleichzeitig aber auch ernüchternd-deprimierenden - Einblick in die politische Situation Mitte März 2008 (zwei Wochen vor erneuten Präsidentenwahlen) bietet.
Ich hoffe, wünsche und bete für das Beste für dieses Land und für seine Bürger!

This way, maybe not only the people who attended the conference back then are taking "Zimbabwe today" into their focus - with everything which is going on.
For this I'm posting a link to the current Online-News - and a special link to "Peace won't come to Zimbabwe":, both giving a precise - and at the same time very depressing - insight into the political situation in mid-march 2008 (two weeks ahead of the presidential elections).
